Duo arrested after man is threatened outside shop in Ely

Two men were arrested in Ely yesterday following an altercation outside a shop.

Officers were called following reports that a man had been threatened outside the One Stop convenience store, in St John’s Road, at about 3.20pm.

Police arrived and arrested two men, both age 25, and from Ely, under the public order act.

The pair were subsequently bailed until June 4.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnesses the incident to get in contact on 101 or via Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
