Speeding was highlighted as a concern.

DOG fouling, litter and speeding were the main issues highlighted by March residents at a neighbourhood forum this week.

The event was held on Monday when members of the public were invited to speak to police and representatives of Cambridgeshire County Council and Fenland District Council.

Fenland Council will now lead on tackling dog fouling and litter while police will deal with speeding.

PCSO Rachael Cheverton said: “This forum was an excellent opportunity for people to meet their local policing team in an informal way and to raise any issues or concerns.

“We will tackle speeding through enforcement by police officers, Speedwatch carried out by PCSOs and volunteers and by Specials using speed detection equipment.

“Street drinking, which was also mentioned, will be tackled by officers and PCSOs on patrol in March.”

On the day and during the four weeks running up to the forum, PCSOs asked residents to complete a community questionnaire. In total, 117 questionnaires were completed and almost 50 per cent of respondents considered the level of crime and anti-social behaviour in March to be low.
