A Whittlesey couple received their best ever present when their first baby was born three days early on Christmas Day.
Little Charlie Jeffrey Pacey made an appearance in the early hours of December 25 when he was born by emergency caesarean weighing a healthy 7lb 14oz.
Mum Emily Moore, 22, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital on Monday 23 after her waters broke and she was suffering high blood pressure.
Following more than 24 hours of labour, with Charlie in a breach position and the cord wrapped around his body, it was decided to bring him into the world by emergency caesarian.
He arrived on Christmas morning at 2.46am.
Emily said: “His heart rate kept going up and down which was frightening, but a relief when he was born that he was safe and well.
“It feels special that he was born on December 25 - it’s the best Christmas present we will ever have.”
Dad Kelvin Pacey, 22, and Emily are settling into their new family life at their home in Chestnut Crescent.
