Neale-Wade Academy students had the honour of performing with the City of London Orchestra on Wednesday.
The Sinfonia treated the students an hour-long performance including the Angry Birds backing track and a solo by bassoonist Chris Rawley.
They then joined a lucky few students in a joint performance which was composed by the students.
A professional video crew filmed the concert so it was displayed live on a screen behind the orchestra.
Composer John K Miles was being told what to do by the students presenting the concert, before joining in towards the end.
In between performances the students gave a brief background on the next piece and also shared mini-interviews from the musicians.
Student George Garford was given the chance to conduct the orchestra, something that was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Music teacher Ceri Griffin, before the show, said: “This will be a concert by students for the students.”
