Bridge Day gives big boost to Fenland children’s charities

More than 60 people took part in a bridge tournament which raised more than £1,000 for children’s charities.

March Committee for Children’s Charities held their annual Bridge Day at Doddington Village Hall, which was won by Jane Martin and George Jewell from Downham Market.

As well as a tournament, there was a buffet lunch and home made puddings provided by the committee.

The proceeds from the event will be distributed later in the year.

Next year’s Bridge Day will take place on Friday, April 16 at Doddington Village Hall.
