Two gardens in the Wisbech area are opening their gates to the public.

One is at Walton Highway, which is being run under the National Open Garden Scheme, while the other is at Elm and is being opened privately.

Kenilworth House is a smallholding and bed and breakfast at Walton Highway and is open on Sunday June 1 from 11.30-5.

There will be lambs, goat kids, an orchard with 100 year old Bramleys and a Japanese garden among the attraction on the four acre site.

There will also be an exhibition of archaeological digs from land at the back of the property.

The gardens of Elm House, an eighteenth-century house in Main road, Elm, will be open to the public on Saturday 7 June from 2-5pm.

The garden has been tended by members of the Bullard family for over a century.

A walled garden, an arboretum with rare trees, a ha-ha, and a three acre wildflower meadow are among the areas of the garden that will be open. Homemade teas and a plant stall will be available. All proceeds will be shared between Parkinson’s UK and The Alzheimer’s Society.

Entry charges are £4 adults/children free. There is plenty of free parking available. No dogs except guide dogs.
