Fenland police officers received District Commander Commendations from the Mayor of Wisbech, Councillor Michael Hill, for their service to the community.

The presentations took place at Wisbech Town Council meeting on Monday.

Sgts Becky Ryan, T/Sgt Dave Macdonald, police constables David Arnold and Peter Waite entered a smoke filled house in Wisbech to safely remove the occupant and look for others.

Volunteer members of the Special Constabulary, constables Stephanie Hanlon and Daniel Merrington were congratulated for their dedication and commitment in supporting their regular colleagues and the community of Cambridgeshire.
