Arsonists set fire to a car in North Bank, Whittlesey overnight.

Crews from Dogsthorpe and Whittlesey were called to the blaze at 3.09am this morning.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 4.10am.

A Cambs Fire spokesman said: “The cause of the fire was deliberate.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
