A collection of amazing auction prizes have been announced for the Mark Cross Charity Darts Day.

Items up for grabs on March 8 at the GER Sports Club include a snooker cue and case signed by Ronnie O’Sullivan, a framed football boot signed by Robin van Persie, a football signed by Rod Stewart and a boxing glove signed by Frank Bruno.

Those in attendance will also get to bid for a PDC Darts Shirt signed by numerous players including World Champion Michael van Gerwen, Adrian Lewis, Phil Taylor, Kevin Painter, Colin Lloyd, Terry Jenkins, Andy Hamilton and Dennis Priestley.

All proceeds from the day will go to the oncology department at Peterborough City Hospital, where organiser, police officer and father-of-two Mark Cross received treatment for breast cancer in 2009.

He said: “Very few of the auction prizes are donated, so if any individual or business would like to sponsor an auction prize with a donation I would be very grateful.

“I would be grateful of any donations of draw or auction prizes from individuals and companies alike. It promises to be another great day.”

Those sponsoring boards include the GER Hot Shotz darts team, JMC Construction, Fraser Dawbarns Solicitors, the Sportsman pub at Chatteris, Bob Harrington and Darren Wojtowych Gardening Services. Two boards are still available for sponsorship.

Mark Cross can be contacted at crossie180@talktalk.net or at 01354 658343 or 07790 845456.
