Alex Chilvers

Alex Chilvers was killed in the early hours of Sunday, (June 22, 2008) in the centre of March. Alex was knocked down by a car in front of the Norwich and Peterborough Building Society in Broad Street at around 12.30am. He was taken to Peterborough District Hospital with serious injuries but died later that day.

David SelfCambs Times

David Self

Openly gay journalist and broadcaster David Self - who famously wrote the questions for ITV's Sale of the Century and who took part in one of the country's first civil ceremonies for gay couples - has died. Mr Self, 67, had been battling liver disease and cancer for sometime: his partner Majid Jawad described it as "not a nice death".

Beverly Owen

Beverly Owen, wife of the former Mayor of March Councillor Kit Owen, died in hospital on Thursday, May 22, 2008. It is believed Mrs Owen had been on a life support machine in Peterborough Hospital after collapsing on Wednesday while shopping in Tesco.

Young mum Stephanie Ward, of Leverington, and her four-year-old daughter Samantha Ford were killed when they were hit by a car whilst out trick or treating in 2007 with a friend and her daughter riding a horse.
